Issue 45 – The Music Issue

Our latest issue of The Lakelander celebrates our local talent and how music binds us together.

In our Music issue, we’re highlighting our local music scene with in-depth interviews, exclusive performances, and sneak peeks of what’s ahead.

In “Handmade Sound,” we sat down with local singer/songwriter Michael McArthur to hear the heart behind his forthcoming album Ever Green, Ever Rain and what to expect the weeks leading up to its release.

With the anticipated release of their sixth album, we also sat down with Copeland’s lead singer, Aaron Marsh, to hear about the past, present, and future of one of Lakeland’s most famous homewtown bands in “What Lies Beneath.”

Many local businesses and organizations our giving back to our community by fostering environments for musicians to thrive. In our Philanthropy feature, “The Rhythm of Hope,” we highlight how Play it Forward Polk encourages youth in the public school system to not let circumstance define their ability to play.

Our Style feature,“Stereophonic Autumn,” not only highlights anticipated fall fashion trends but also the local artists you need to know.

Music plays an invaluable role in our community. Many local artists, businesses, and organizations inspire us daily because of their commitment to our local music scene. We’re excited to share these stories and much more in our inaugural music issue of The Lakelander.
