Baseball fans are eager to get back in the stands after a challenging year of postponed events and cancellations. Luckily, Spring Training games offer a uniquely personal and pared-down opportunity for dedicated fans to support their favorite teams.
The MLB recently confirmed that Spring Training will begin right on time. It’s up to the discretion of each state and team to determine whether fans will be able to attend games. The Detroit Tigers, which hosts its Spring Training games right here in Lakeland, will welcome fans at a limited attendance upon MLB approval. Right now, the stadium plans to seat fans in socially distanced pods at 20%-25% stadium capacity
The Tigers kick off their Spring Training season on Sunday, February 28. If you grab your tickets before they run out, expect to keep your mask on at all times at each game.
