On December 6, the Junior League of Greater Lakeland and the City of Lakeland are hosting the 38th annual Lakeland Christmas Parade.
Every year, the community is invited to participate and be a part of the Lakeland Christmas Parade by signing up to design a float that represents the themed assigned to each year’s parade.
This year’s theme is “A Storybook Christmas.” In order to promote the joy of reading, participants are encouraged to decorate their floats to the theme of their favorite children’s story while incorporating a festive element to the overall design.
The parade will take place on Thursday, December 6 in Downtown Lakeland at 7 p.m.
Guests are welcome to place chairs along the parade route no earlier than December 5.
If you are placing chairs early: Please do not block sidewalks, entrances, or ADA ramps or place chairs in “Wheelchair Accessible” seating areas. Chairs placed in these areas will be moved out of the way. Please be respectful and do not place excessive amounts of chairs along the route.
For updated information and details about the parade, visit the City of Lakeland’s website or join the Lakeland Christmas Parade Facebook event page.
