The Balance Culture is moving and expanding to a new location in downtown Lakeland.

Four years ago, The Balance Culture started in a small, one-studio room in Dixieland Village. This all-women’s fitness studio has since outgrown that one-studio room and taken over the neighboring offices, allowing them to expand into two additional studio rooms and provide childcare services for their customers.

As The Balance Culture celebrates their four-year anniversary, they have kept their followers anticipating a special announcement: a BIG move to a new downtown location!

“We have been planning on moving and expanding for the past year,” says The Balance Culture’s co-owner, Ruthie Tait. “We love our current space, but as we continue to grow our brand, classes, and offerings, we are excited to offer an updated and larger space for our clients.”

Planned to open in Spring 2020, The Balance Culture’s new and updated space will be located on the first floor of the new Heritage Plaza and will offer the studio 2,000 square feet of additional space.

When President of the Lakeland Economic Development Council (LEDC) Steve Scruggs heard that the studio was looking to expand, he connected owners Kirstin Czernek and Ruthie Tait to Heritage Plaza’s owner, Wesley Beck. “It ended up being the perfect fit, and we are so thankful to Steve for opening this door for us!” says Tait.

In addition to offering a much larger studio for their classes (in a beautiful space that will be characterized with high ceilings and large windows), The Balance Culture is also looking forward to offering convenient amenities like locker rooms and showers. The studio will also have new class styles that will add more variety and intensity to their current offerings.

“We are so excited for this new location, and the new amenities and classes that it will allow us to offer. Downtown Lakeland is growing and changing so much right now, and we are excited to be a part of our city’s growth and expansion!” says Tait.
