It feels like it was just yesterday when the Disney film crew and the cast were in Lakeland for the filming of The One and Only Ivan, but it was over two years ago that the filming took place, June of 2018 to be exact.

Now, The One and Only Ivan is set to debut on Disney Plus on August 14th.

The One and Only Ivan is an adaptation of the beloved children’s book written by Katherine Applegate. The book’s main characters are a silverback gorilla named Ivan, a baby elephant named Stella, and a stray dog named Bob, all living in a suburban shopping mall.
