Southeastern University’s worship group, SEU Worship, has signed with Sony label Provident Music Group. Provident is home to Casting Crowns, Matthew West, Tenth Avenue North, Matt Maher, and many other high-profile Christian artists.

SEU Worship has independently released six albums since 2013, with its most recent being Heaven Life. They have more than 200,000 subscribed listeners on Spotify, with several of their songs having more than one million plays.

“Provident Label Group is among the premier record labels in Christian music,” said Dan Rivera, SEU campus worship pastor. “Everyone on Provident’s team is ministry-minded and believers in the mission and vision of Southeastern. We are excited to work with such a creative and dynamic team as we continue to grow our worship ministry.”

SEU Worship signed to the label in August of 2019 and has plans to release its first EP under the label in the spring of 2020. SEU Worship is made up of a group of four worship pastors and more than 60 students from the university. The songs are all written and performed by Southeastern students along with Rivera.

SEU Worship has the opportunity to collaborate with artists who are also signed to the label. Students will continue to be involved in the writing process and tour throughout the year. The signing will provide SEU Worship more opportunities to tour across the United States, performing at churches, youth camps, and youth conferences.

The local community is welcome to hear SEU Worship perform at any of the chapel services held on the university’s campus every week as well as the annual SEU Conference held in February.
