Safe, Tranquil and Inviting: Venetian Med Spa

Benito Torres has spent his career helping people feel better about themselves for the long haul—as a doctor at Moffitt Cancer Center and as the owner of the award-winning Novus Spine & Pain Center here in Lakeland—so it’s no surprise his newest venture Venetian Medical Spa and Aesthetic Surgery focuses on that, just with different vernacular and procedures.

Torres prides himself on having a staff of certified experts, a clean and sterile spa that is also warm and inviting, and a menu of services that he says sets him apart from the competition.

Dr. Torres received his training with a leading cosmetic surgeon in Beverly Hills, Calif. and Torres is a double board certified physician and assistant clinical professor.

So why has he built his business in Lakeland?

“In speaking with colleagues and patients, I realized many patients traveled outside of Polk County to get treatment or services that could be provided locally by a properly trained physician. We have the expertise and technology to meet those needs.”

Torres says a lot of medspas offer “body contouring” but only provide one modality, which may not target the deep fat, resulting in less desirable outcomes.

“We offer several options for minimally invasive body contouring and sculpting provided by a physician, including liposculpting, Facetite and Bodytite, which are advanced minimally invasive technology,” Dr. Torres says. “These treatments induce collagen and elastin production, which tightens the skin to provide a more youthful look.”

Venetian also offers a mix of services like PDO thread lifts, as well as traditional medspa offerings including hydrafacials, derma fillers, laser hair removal, discoloration treatments, superficial vein treatments and more.

Torres admits that after moving to Lakeland from Tampa with his wife and three children eight years ago he wasn’t sure how long it would be for, but he has found a place to call home where he says he fell in love with the area and the people—and he’s always looking to help people love themselves a little more.
