Lakeland Pigfest was first introduced in 1997 with a goal of bringing together the community over world-class barbecue while raising money for local charities. Since then, Pigfest has grown to be one of the city’s most anticipated annual events welcoming over 100 vendors and generating over $2 million in charitable donations.

The 23rd Annual Lakeland Pigfest will take place this weekend and will feature more than 150 barbecue teams. This year’s event is only $5 (free for kids under 12), and parking is free. After entering the event, be sure to stop by a Pig Bucks booth and exchange your cash for the the official Lakeland Pigfest currency, Pig Bucks! Each Pig Buck spent at a participating vendor will go toward supporting Pigfest’s main goal since day one – supporting local charities!

So come on out this weekend to enjoy great fun and food all while giving back to charitable organizations in the greater Lakeland area.

Pigfest is held at the SUN ‘n FUN Convention Campus on Medulla Road and will be open for the following dates and times:

Friday, January 25, 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Saturday, January 26, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
