It’s been nearly 20 years since Copeland released their first record Beneath the Medicine Tree in 2003. Since then they’ve released a total of 6 studio albums, accumulating thousands of fans and millions of streams. Now the band has announced a brand new forthcoming album on their instagram, Revolving Doors, which will feature a handful of the band’s greatest hits backed by a full orchestra.
You might remember the band’s one-night only show at the Youkey Theatre in October of 2018, when the band performed their entire setlist backed by the Lakeland Imperial Symphony Orchestra. The band reimagined a lot of their greatest hits alongside a full orchestra that night, and seem to have kept that spirit going just a couple of years later with their new record Revolving Doors. Classic Copeland hits like Good Morning Fire Eater, Chin Up, Pope, and more will fill up the symphonic record when it’s released later this year on September 16, 2022.
To celebrate the release of Revolving Doors, Copeland will be performing songs from the new record (and other favorites) with the Sewanee Symphony Orchestra live at The Caverns in Grundy County, Tennessee on September 17 later this year. Tickets to this one night only event are available now and can be purchased here.
The first single from Revolving Doors, “Coffee”, is available on all streaming platforms now.
