Music Lovers Unite: Lakeland Record Fair Volume II on Tap This Weekend

On Sunday, October 8, the Rec Room LKLD will be hosting the Lakeland Record Fair, Volume II, presented by Jesse Carl Vinyl from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

With wall-to-wall records, and nearly a dozen vendors featuring 45” vinyls and music memorabilia galore, Lakeland music lovers will find themselves immersed in an experience cultivated by the local partnership between Rec Room and Jesse Carl Vinyl. In a room full of soul-lifting live music from a  local DJ, music aficionados will have the opportunity to discuss deep cuts, browse music both new and old, and explore downtown Lakeland. 

Unlike larger-scale record fairs held in the convention centers of Orlando and Tampa, Volume II of the Lakeland Record Fair will retain the essence of an intimate concert at a small venue: personal, connective, and centered on a shared passion, plus it’s notoriously difficult to leave empty-handed!

With passionate and knowledgeable vendors, guests can expect lively conversation, expert music recommendations, and the chance to thumb through crates and crates of records, with CDs and cassettes available for sale as well. 

Intending to replicate yet amplify the vision and success from Lakeland’s first ever Record Fair back in February, the fair will feature increased options for a bite to eat as well.

There will be three food truck options for fair-goers to choose from, including Good Thyme and Blue Dog Craft Barbecue. Further, the Rec Room will be open for regular business during the hours of the event, offering patrons options a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, plus its incredible collection of arcade games that are perfect for a break between vendors.. Jesse Carl Vinyl will be open for business as well as a first stop for music and record collectors before perusing the wide-variety of merchandise at the Rec Room .
