As students, faculty, and staff get ready for summer vacation, it is also that time of year to recognize those students who have worked hard and excelled in their academic responsibilities.

Every year, Florida Southern College hosts their annual Fiat Lux (meaning let there be light). This year, the student event was held on April 24.

Fiat Lux allows students to present their work in creative art, oral, performance, and/or poster presentations to other students, faculty, and staff. This year’s Fiat Lux was the largest in school history with over 200 students representing 28 majors, presenting and performing.

The event was accompanied by a special ceremony to recognize the academic achievements and prestigious scholarships won by many FSC students.
