Yesterday, Born & Bread hosted a private Family & Friends tasting experience of their new menu that will debut with new business hours in May.
The night consisted of owner Jenn Smurr and her team serving potential menu offerings, listening and taking notes from the guests’ feedback.
Coming this May, Born & Bread will open its doors Wednesday evenings.
From baguettes with housemade butter to an assortment of freshly made savory sandwiches and desserts, the menu was both simple yet creative and flavorful. Jenn also expressed the love she has for her team and credited them as the recipe developers for the new menu.
The evening was filled with laughter, talking and eating. There was a lightness to the atmosphere, it felt inviting – as if someone was hugging you in a home away from home.
I spoke with one of the Born & Bread team members about their expectations for Wednesday nights, and she looked out to the room and said: “This! We hope guests will come in and enjoy our new savory offerings and desserts, and yes, we may even have some cruffins and customer favorites available on Wednesday evenings.”
Guests are encouraged to bring their own bottle of wine and favorite drinks to enjoy on Wednesday evenings for dinner or simply a dessert date.
Once open on Wednesdays, the menu will be announced weekly on the Born & Bread Facebook page.
An exact date for the new hours of operation to go into effect is yet to be announced.
