“One of our core values at B&B is to ‘raise the bar.’”
– Black & Brew

In a recent Instagram post, Black & Brew announced their first-ever braille menu inspired by the opportunity to understand one of their customer’s needs.

“Peyton [Short] is a frequent customer at B&B who happens to be visually impaired. Through our conversations, he helped me to understand how important it is for the visually impaired to gain independence. I came to realize that while our team was helpful in making suggestions based on his preferences, this ultimately fell short of providing the independence and the experience that he and other visually impaired customers deserved. Peyton walked me through the process of creating our first-ever Braille menu, which he is holding here.”

One of our core values at B&B is to “raise the bar”. To continually seek out ways to improve every aspect of the experience we provide to our customers. Many, if not most, of the improvements we have implemented have been inspired by our amazing customers. Enter Peyton Short. Peyton is a frequent customer at B&B, who happens to be visually impaired. Through our conversations, he helped me to understand how important it is for the visually impaired to gain independence. I came to realize that while our team was helpful in making suggestions based on his preferences, this ultimately fell short of providing the independence and the experience that he and other visually impaired customers deserved. Peyton walked me through the process of creating our first ever Braille menu, which he is holding here. He facilitated the production, and personally delivered it to me today! We’re grateful for you Peyton, and we’re a better restaurant today because of your initiative. 👏👏👏
