Spring is just around the corner, and for us Lakelanders and baseball game lovers, the Detroit Tigers’ training is just one of the best spring activities in town.

The Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium is an 8,500-seat stadium that opened in 1966 and has had multiple renovations, most recently in 2017. It was named after local resident and former Lakeland Parks and Recreation Director Marcus “Joker” Marchant.

The Detroit Tigers Training Season kicks off on Feb 22nd with an exhibition game, Detroit Tigers vs Southeastern Fire.
The home opener will take place on Feb 24th, Detroit Tigers vs Philadelphia Phillies.

The stadium offers air-conditioned spaces, box seats, concession stands, wheelchair-accessible seating (and elevators), premium and group seating, on-deck suite, Hooters Dugout, Pepsi Pavilion, Margaritaville, and more.
