A couple of friends from Puerto Rico are striving to elevate the brunch experience for Lakelanders later this summer, when Sorrel Bistro is slated to open at Lakeside Village.

Frances Palmero and Lisandra Bezares are aiming to provide locals an elegant experience on par with offerings in Tampa and Orlando without having to jump on the interstate to do so. The Bistro will offer traditional breakfast favorites with a tropical flair, which means a large variety of locally sourced products and fresh produce that serve as ingredients for omelettes, pancakes and french toast, as well as homemade juices and freshly brewed Puerto Rican coffee. The Bistro will also offer a variety of lunch options.

The restaurant is located at 1560 Town Center Drive next to Crisper’s and will be open 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays upon opening in August of this year.
