Rising Vegan Restaurant Opens Doors in Lakeland

After working out of Catapult for three years, Vegetation Plant Food celebrated its grand opening on April 15 with great success at its new location at 1439 E Gary Rd. The plant-based cafe serves a variety of 100% vegan products that many were excited to indulge in at the grand opening.
Rima Schilinger, founder of Vegetation Plant Food, remarks that the grand opening wouldn’t have been possible without her employees and family members.
“We had a lot of customers who used to order from us on a weekly basis when we were doing meal prep that missed the service, and it was exciting to see them, and they were super happy that we were open,” said Schillinger.
Vegetation Plant Food’s most popular menu item is it bowls, which they rotate recipes of on a weekly basis. Other popular items include enchilada casseroles, a wide variety of vegan pastries and chia pudding.
“I think that people who eat plant-based are so happy to have a plant-based cafe in the area that they can go to on a regular basis,” Schillinger said.
Cafe hours are 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Sundays.
