You don’t have to travel to a big city for your dose of America’s passtime. Lakeland is home to the Flying Tigers who are sure to keep you cheering at the ball field all summer long.
The Tigers finished their 2019 spring training with a record of 15 wins and 15 losses. The team started spring training on a high note, defeating Southeastern University during their annual college exhibition game, with a final score of 13-2. Shortly after, the Tigers celebrated a 6-5 win over the Yankees with a home run from Daz Cameron. Although the season had its highs and lows, the Tigers were still just as fun to watch. We continue to show our local support by cheering on their minor league team, the Flying Tigers, through the summer.
